Jammin’ Dishwasher Salmon
- 2 pounds center cut salmon fillet
- (no thicker than 1-1/4 inches)
- 1 orange, cut into 1/8 inch slices
- 4 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
- 1 teaspoon fresh or dried thyme
1. Rinse the salmon fillet and pat dry. Remove any noticeable bones with needle nose pliers.
2. On a flat surface, pull out a length of aluminum foil long enough to cover and fold the fish, plus a little extra. Place the orange slices in the middle and arrange the salmon on top. Spread the concentrateover the salmon and sprinkle with the thyme. Bring the short ends of the foil together, meeting in the middle of the fish. Align the edges evenly and fold them over at least twice, crimping the final edge.Bring the long sides together, folding and crimping in the same manner.
3. Place the bundle on the top rack of an empty dishwasher. Close the door ad set the machine on a normal cycle. When the cycle is completed, remove the salmon – it should be moist and cookedthrough. If not, run back through the cycle another 5 to 7 minutes. Unwrap and transfer to a serving platter.
